Let us study and meditate on this logic for the sake of spiritual exploration.
"If I don't sleep, I won't have nightmares"
Yet when you do this - the nightmare seeps into your life, consciousness can no longer be recharged and held together, the soul repair does not occur. Your body begins to break down and decay, your focus, will and agency are reduced and, eventually, psychosis occurs.
The two utmost forces at the edge of reality are sanity and insanity - these are the highest and lowest aspects of universal and cosmic design. I want all of my students to understand this concept and ingrain it into their world models. It will increase your understanding of where exactly you find yourself.
On the East and West nodes, there is darkness and light, feminine and masculine that serve as the makeup of our plane. This is the horizontal mirror.
Yet, at the same crossroad precipice, the vertical mirror, the abyss and the heavenly planes are equally important, yet more sophisticated to understand and far more unknown to the general public and the journeyman practitioner.
The two primary forces that latch onto the human mind, expressed as the forms of chaos and order, are both the animators and perpetrators of the human drama that unfolds in this our strange and arduous existence.
These are not separated and not opposites either, by the way - very much like darkness and light - but they both serve interpretations of the idea of ultimate order.
Ultimate order can be achieved through two absolute means - order through order, and order through chaos.
In a state where nothing is orderly - the only true order is the given state itself, thus the mathematical equation of order is solved.
In a world of absolute order, all actions, reactions, events converge and conglomerate into a singular purpose and, regardless of our individual inputs - manifest into a subtle yet unavoidable orderly nature.
If all things have a singular, predetermined destination and they are, at any and all times, only making their way to said predetermined destination - then total order, in a quantum sense, is already and permanently achieved.
Thus, if soul recharge through sleep is not achieved, the mind oftentimes deteriorates into obscurity - falls into schizophrenic states that are departed from objectivity and reality completely - it becomes free in a sense, no longer held by the vessel that sustains it.
On the other end of the vertical mirror, if soul recharge and, eventually - expansion and reintegration occurs - it also becomes free, transcending its vessel-state.
Now, what are the primary differences between these two states of order?
The first is that the mind's inability to adapt to and accept reality forces it into a subjective ego-state (most people don't understand what ego is, this is OK). When within this ego-state of desperation, its own survival becomes its one and only prime directive. It imagines itself one as of ultimate importance, and exploits its ability to impress subjective thoughts to events and occurrences to weave reality into what it wishes to become.
Eventually, this leads to a complete inability to interface with the objective (consensus) reality, dismantling that specific mind's ability to even access basic survival programs like self-preservation and logic.
On the other hand, the mind that integrates the whole of the consensus reality is, paradoxically and in all kinds of irony - able to transcend it and reintegrate itself with the aspects of full and total awareness.
In either case, the mind has achieved its goal and destiny. And there are many destinies that are one and the same thing, but they are expressed through different aspects, they exist separately from one another yet are the same one thing.
Both destinies, in this case, are fractal existences that encompass both everything and nothing. And being everything and nothing are both the same singular state we mention above, yet they are each expressed and interpreted on complete opposite ends of their spectrums of potential.
And you thought the laws of men were complicated, right?
Man's choice lies in what he feeds, the roots of which tree he waters with his thoughts, actions and choices. Anything that distances one from reality reshapes and fragments the mind until reality itself becomes unrecognizable completely, allowing one to depart from it from the "back door", so to speak.
Similarly, anything that serves to create acceptance of conscious thought and the consensus reality serves to unify and integrate man's awareness with the divine, greater awareness - the awareness of all.
With every single act, no matter how mundane or trivial - like the coiling wings of the butterfly - man chooses to become more aware or less aware - becoming a god in his own right, but one that sits either in its utmost primordial state or omnipresent, all-absorbing awareness.
