You won't learn this from a book, so read carefully and consider implications: Psychic ability developed in humans is a defensive evolutionary counter-measure against the lower principalities of chaos and insanity that sought to enslave them. The eventual end-goal and final effect of these principalities is the disillusionment of the mind (disconnect from reality, induced psychosis) and then its complete and utter dissolving through projected fear and trauma. Trauma fragments your existing identity through forgetfulness and causes your mind to create sub-identities for each of the new pieces formed by this forgetfulness. These sub-identities are increasingly impressionable and heavily moldable by environmental and outer influences. A consciousness removed from self-awareness is easily fragmented, controlled and then consumed. The moment psionics are used "akin to the enemy", as in - in any offensive or energetically penetrative capacity, they open up the user to possession and Insanity's grip. This phenomenon occurs because using psychic ability in penetrative manners always involves "stepping out of one's conscious frame" - as in stepping outside the natural evolutionary psychic barrier of protection. The frequency and intensity of use increases these risks. This is why formulaic arts, ritualistic practices and psychic endeavors were first outlawed, then occulted (hidden and used by trained priestly classes) and eventually forgotten. And why I teach the simple principle of: "If its not a natural ability you have always had, you shouldn't be doing it." ---
