Trauma is just frozen energy, it's lingering emotion. Deep-diving into the past is retrieving echoes of yourself from its depth.
Reconfigure the function of your experiences and memories and, soon enough, they'll show you where they've been leading you.
Your past is the map to your future.
You can't change the past, but you can "reconfigure" it.
How? By changing the function it serves.
Gaining a new perspective over the past - what it served, what it taught you, how it led you to greatness - manifests that greatness into being.
Damage and trauma changes you, and it changes you even further if it's gone unaddressed for a long time.
[[Fragmentation of the psyche]] is caused by trauma.
Your mental illness, your trauma, could serve to either burden others or to enlighten them.
Your trauma, your illness - your responsibility to transmute it.
Remember that.
Were you a victim once? Yes, you had no choice in it.
Are you a victim now? Or can you choose otherwise?
Even further...
We are an amnesiac species, playing back the very trauma that fragmented our memories in the first place.
The first sin. Over and over and over again. Civilizations, ages apart.
Until that trauma is healed, each prophecy will remain cyclical, and each one will keep coming true.
