You keep asking me to do this guy...
100% mental illness (emergent psychosis)
100% radicalized
100% trauma in late teens
100% projected false-empathy - when a person with sociopathic tendencies projects empathy onto a group of people as a smoke-screen to discriminate the other.

This one is a very simple but great case study - look at his eyes - shrunk, miniscule globules with the right one noticeably smaller than the left - shows repressed desire for outward expression.
Broken ears on both sides & enlarged lobes - lots of self-pity and inward anger.
Generally, people like this have a very low threshold for trauma - and this one has had both physical and mental abuse combined.
This archetype will weave and bend reality in subjective manners in order to circumvent their trauma. This is the function of their radicalization.
He was probably radicalized against his own race, because this type has such a layered, deep-set hatred of the self that it is then projected outwards - so they start hating anything that looks like them, talks like them, and shares their trauma.
Basically - radicalizing against everything that represents his self is this person's way of outwardly expressing self-hatred; anger towards his inability to make change in life.
This is a common tragedy in western men - but this guy has the added flavor of impulsive psychosis.
Self-immolation, in his mind, I'm sure - will have seemed like the grandest act of empathy - all projected of course, because that's what sociopaths do.
He doesn't really know how it feels - he just knows other people will assign martyrdom to his name.
Cliche, touche, douche.
Not only does this expressionist, ritualist-style self-sacrificial act denote and signify the burning of the self that cannot be accepted or integrated, but it also denotes the intense lack of self-empathy in this man's mental space, or empathy for his family members as well.
It is the weaker caste who will convince themselves that "they've found the way out!" after significant trauma.
When there is a lack of sophistication of mind - the more fragile-minded personas will default to obsessing over and fixating on ideologies they usually misinterpret.
Truly, I'm sorry that a human died in agonizing pain - but please understand that, for someone to deliberately put themselves on fire - the headspace of that human being must be one of extreme delusion.
It is a tell-tale sign of not only mental illness but vicarious self-hatred.
