If something has a design - it has a function.
Not an interpretative function, but an objective function - beyond its human use.
Our world is designed to facilitate faith, due to lack of highest proof.
Faith is the essential function of our reality - and its greatest lesson.
God created our world to test the faithful.
And to appease the faithless with the fruits of their own vanity.
The sentiment of faith can only exist in a realm where there objective proof of its creator is not readily available, and impossible to be shared.
The paradox lies therein:
The fact that we cannot prove the existence of God is the proof of the existence of God.
As for faithless men - the older they grow, the more cowardly and self-absorbed they become, and the more fearful of death.
[[Fear]] is the master and [[Fear Of Death|death]] is the provisioner of [[fear]].
[[Fear]] of not having lived fully, or even well, or righteously.
Godliness is what grants one the gift of gracious old age. And godlessness is what steals that gift away.
When you choose to believe in nothing beyond proven fact and science, in your old age - all that is left to believe in is death.
Because death is the only guarantee, the grandest fact of life. It is the inevitable, unrelenting, unavoidable, destined end. It's all one can ever think about.
Your helplessness against its coming storm. Your dissolution into what you've imagined as a void of endless nothings in which consciousness itself dissipates into non-existence.
So why does godlessness always devolve into a death cult?
Because, for the non-believer, death is the ultimate symbol of life. It is the only assured reality and outcome. It is the only desperate source of surety in a world filled with uncertainty and confusion.
The man who thinks his existence is meaningless does not fear death because he might be proven right in the end.
He fears it because, deep down, he knows that he will be proven wrong. His soul, no matter how degraded, knows it.
The master, on the other hand, uses his own death as a means for spiritual transformation. And his life as the ritual dance itself - to incite said transformation.
What that transformation entails, where it leads to, is determined by its nature, as an improvised dance of self-discovery and interpreted meaning.
For death is not the opposite of life.
Death is the opposite of birth.
But life...
Life is eternal.
Therefore, faith is not gained or granted.
This is why we say that faith, and belief (as a substrata of faith) - is ACHIEVED.
One must achieve their faith.
Firstly through activating their belief.
Study these words
Self. Conviction.
You have achieved to convince yourself
e.g. Now, if I could convince myself that I am, in fact, unbreakable.
How would I go about doing that?
Well, I need different proofs, different keys, different external incitement to achieve this belief.
As you would need to dance a different way to attain your unbreakable self.
Faith is to be lost and found, rediscovered.
Not held.
This is how faith grows.
Losing faith is the first step towards faith, friend.
Have no [[fear]].
