Do humans have agency? I get this question a lot. You dance the dance of life. Whenever you look back on it, you will come to realize that every move has been rehearsed and meticulously planned - several times over. Does this cheapen the performance, or does it add to its impressiveness? Regardless, it is you on that stage, and everyone else is watching. There is a method to the dance, yes, and the expectation of the public looms heavy in the air - but there is also the uniqueness of the moment, and your own uniqueness. Who are you behind the dance? The real, secret you. That part is ever-changing, no matter what the movements are. The movements are merely there to incite you to look inwards, to see the inner you - from many different angles. And if you can see the inner you - so will everyone else, even if the movements never change. It is the movements within the mover that communicate their truest essence, transcending the moment, serving as momentary proof of something beyond existence itself, vying to be free with each fiber of their being. Who you are inside, in any given moment, changes what the movements mean. And if you can allow yourself to get lost in that dance, the procession of each and every moment - you might convince the gods themselves to pay homage to your will. And change the script. Beauty is the portal to God. Your way is predetermined. Until the moment you change. Then a new way is predetermined. You might ask - is change itself predetermined? And I would answer this: It is if you allow it to be. When you've convinced yourself that all is predetermined - so it will be. Here is a great truth of this world - true agency, the ability to choose your destiny - is an EARNED luxury, saved for the few. Until you are a slave to this realm, you will not be granted true agency. Most who religiously follow the script(ure) are convinced that they make their own way. Yet they are servants to their own demise and the unlikely architects of their own vanities. You must earn your right to choose. Choice, and free will, is the primary attribute of God. The moment you disrespect the grand theatre of life as something formulaic or already predetermined - is the moment life throws you into the darkest pits of material hardship. This is not a game. The show must go on.
