For those looking to learn, as a continuation of my introductory syllabus to mystical thought and higher magic, make sure to watch - The Masque Of The Red Death (1964) If you know your own devils, then you will also know that the devil doesn't make deals. The very essence of devilry is such that it imagines itself above all law, conscience or morality. It holds loyalty to nothing, and certainly not to those foolish enough to imagine it as lacking or in deficit of anything a lesser human could provide as "appeasement". There are those in this world who think they've struck a deal with the devil, for riches, or the illusion of power, or fame - yet little do they know that they've done so out of a herculean ignorance - for they know not the devil and his deeds, and neither do they know his ways. And because that is so, they are gullible enough to assume that they've struck a contract with the lord of flies himself. But, as stated before, the devil you know does not make deals and, if he did, he surely would not feel obligated to keep them. So, who then, if not the devil, did the fool strike a deal with? Whose contract, sealed with his secret blood, did the ne'er-do-well willingly taint his sacred vessel with? There was never such a thing as a worthy bargain, of course, not even one's soul would suffice. Left-hand practitioners awaken to the bitterness of this truth far too late usually - and unfortunately so. We will surely see a rise in the various types of temptations stemming from these same forces in the trying times that are upon us now. Already, you are seeing it. Yet we also talk about the emerging Order of Conscience and humanity's reawakening to the natural, divine hierarchy, but this awakening must first happen within every single individual before it can be made to manifest to any meaningful effect in the consensus reality. We are all on borrowed time, and that borrowed time can be a blessing - or it can be a curse. What determines this is the quality of the observer himself. You are the man in the hourglass, within the gyroscope of time itself, as you observe and watch yourself, the very molecules in your body - the specks of sand - slip through the linear timestream of life - with each bated breath you take; every heartbeat is a quiet reminder of the inevitable end of your journey here on this temporal plane. What you have learnt (or failed to learn) will have determined the quality of your [[Spirit And Soul|spirit]], and will have contributed to your ability to pass beyond the hourglass, to transcend the game of time - or it will have resulted in the hourglass being turned on its head once more - furthering the cycle. True (higher) [[The Fundaments Of Magic|magic]] does not involve itself with demon-dealing and striking petty bargains with subtle entities. It is the recognition that the only “deal” that was ever on the table was the one your own unintegrated shadow offered you in the form of a mirror. The Order of Conscience, therefore, is not some hierarchy imposed from above, but rather the collective realization that every external bargain was always a disguised pact with the lower self - and the inevitable destiny of this world, a hint directing man towards his highest potential. And one that is enacted one life at a time. Every heartbeat - a separate hourglass. Each breath - a blessing or a curse. A crescendo of inevitable [[truth]].
