If your IQ is higher than 130, your pattern recognition is elite - never distrust it, even when ridiculous.
If your IQ is between 100-120 - your pattern recognition is flawed. If it's ridiculous - never trust it.
If your IQ is less than 100 - your pattern recognition basically doesn't exist - so only trust it when it's ridiculous.
Generally, low IQ people will seek segregation in knowledge - for example, instead of unifying the wisdom gained from different religions and ideologies, they will choose to identify with one and reject the others.
High IQ individuals have the ability to unify knowledge - from many different channels of thought and will not base their whole identity on the opposition or support of one particular philosophy unless they've put their ideas through rigorous consideration and study.
Stupid people can't unify knowledge, thus they are unable to generalize knowledge, so they can never build the big picture with the puzzle pieces from each - that's why they often can't connect two obvious things that belong together without "proof".
Guess what the unification of this knowledge requires though - alongside high IQ - it requires an impeccable imaginative function, so just high IQ won't net you these benefits at all.
Those who are smart enough to discern patterns and then through the help of their imaginative function envision and conceptualize these patterns as mental geometry are those closest to receiving the truth about life's meaning and the functional mechanisms of its design.
Both of these skills can be trained, especially the imaginative function - yet the curse of stupidity is such that you can never convince the idiot that there is a whole spectrum of worlds they are unable to interface with due to their insistence on proof without practice.
