A man must be equipped with the ability to kill a thing. So that he may willingly make the choice not to. A man who cannot kill is a man who will be killed if it comes down to it. Martial arts, or knife-fighting, or mastery of modern weaponry. There is nothing more empowering than the feeling of knowing you can probably slay most of the men you walk into a room with.
