Gifted a music-generation AI subscription to two friends to prove a point. One is a poet and an actor, the other a sceptic and AI supremacist.
Each had a day to work the AI to the best of their abilities to come out with the best song they could possibly make.
The poet made it write a beautiful song. Just gorgeous. I'd say it's as good as current AI can go.
My other friend's song was about the first friend being abducted and anal-probed by sentient space mushrooms.
It's fun and moronic at the same time.
Point is this - AI enhances creativity. It can never take away the artist's input. You still need to prompt it with creative vision and foreshadowing.
Art and beauty are not going anywhere, and neither are creatives.
If anything, they are stepping into a level of self-expression never seen before, once the technology catches up properly.
