Wanna-be spiritual types always seem to misunderstand when I use simplistic words like "evil" for human layer concepts.
They'll chalk it up to ignorance and think it a fault of emotion-based thinking.
It is important to understand that, on the human plane, evil CAN exist.
Evil existing does not mean that hatred is justified.
And evil has a function, a deeply spiritual function that is required for the advancement of our souls on this plane.
But only a fool and a clown thinks evil does not exist, or that it cannot exist.
The complexities of what "evil" is can be discussed.
It is complex and deceptive in its nature because it has to be.
True evil cannot be cornered, and cannot be focused into an individual, or a nation, or ideology.
True evil is elusive and destructive - and must be fought WITHIN.
As Stephen King put it - it's difficult for people to accept that even monsters sometimes help old ladies cross the road.
They'd rather chalk "evil" up to a simple concept that is isolated and separate from them.
Because they're afraid of discovering evil within themselves.
