It gives itself fully because it functions as a hivemind on the layer of insects. But as life evolves - primality lessens, and procreation is allowed to occur independently, like in mammals, as one example - where the body forms and provides sustenance from within itself and delivers to its offspring without need for dramatic self-sacrifice. From a spiritual perspective - it is interesting to ponder the idea of the "next logical evolutionary step". What comes after the mammalian stage? It is rather apparent through simple observation that the more complex the biological makeup of a being - the more allowing and convenient its reproductive practices seem to become. This is not by chance, of course, but by design. When we study nature, we must consider that it unfolds linearly - meaning there is a specific direction or perfected design it is attempting - whether it is consciously aware of it or not - to achieve. Greater and more complex biological organisms, of course, manage to become vehicles for higher consciousness. They can interface and become bound with higher and more distant ideas, more complex thoughtforms that carry naturally richer moral and ideological sentiments. Therefore the purification of the body, functioning as the vessel through which interfacing is achieved with higher consciousness - becomes the primary object of fascination for any aspiring truthseeker or magician. Yes, the observable preference and purpose of nature seems to be the cautious creation of the perfect physical specimen. The perfected organism that may interface and hold within it the potential mind of God. Nature's quest is to reconnect with its creator. It is a body - all in all - trying to remember. To reestablish a link once broken.
