The prerequisites to higher magic are simply too brutal for most people to endure. Thus it is senseless to expect to gain popularity quickly from spreading correct teachings. Because correctness in teaching always implies something that challenges the individual in uncomfortable ways. It's not comfort reading - not when someone calls you towards reexamining your whole life and, consequentially, every lie within it. To face your darkness, to be honest about your shortcomings, to reevaluate your conscience, to practice morality and empathy, to be courageous and bold, responsible, sane and so on. Not in a world that is becoming increasingly selfish and insane.  It's not packed as sexy as reading deliberately "leaked" documents from some agency or scouring old forums for half-hidden sources of occult power. It is raw, difficult and brutally direct - the requirement is your spiritual purity. And simply nothing else will do. You can't bypass the requirement, it's impossible.  If you wish to be initiated into the higher mysteries, you must work to conquer the self. This includes some seriously uncomfortable things. Stuff most of us are simply not directly willing to face. So most don't pass, and for good reason too. There's no escaping becoming a genuinely good and decent person. Without this, higher spiritual progress is impossible.
