Death is a master. A mind aware of its own mortality flings itself into the future, afraid of all the things it might not have. And submerges itself into the past to see all the things it could have had. Life is the awareness of dying. Dying - the acceptance of living. This human condition, the amnesiac mind, the ego individualized - it is a symptom of forbidden knowledge. Its creation was preceded by the learning of the body's mortality. To be like the animals is to live without death, to live in the moment. To know of death though, to know of your passing as the inevitable outcome - one becomes aware of time. One ponders time as a concept, tries to understand it. And that is how time was born. And the world made manifest. Through a primordial and ancient fear. Man, therefore, has imprisoned himself within the hourglass of time. Because to know death is to fear it. To know that it will all come to an end one day - is to know deficit and lack. And desperation, and sorrow, and madness and grief. If you can accept death, you can live free of it. And inherit its wisdom. That there is no time in this world. No time at all. Not for anything but love.
