People often misunderstand what it means when they say that the universe and its laws view and regard each person as a god. The untrained initiate might think: "I am a god, the universe bends to my will and caters to my every whim!" Obviously, this isn't true. Doesn't take much to know this. God, in all its emanations, can only ever give you one thing: Everything you've ever wanted. But the dualistic natured god of the lesser ego, from which our temporary and individual identities are created and descend into this world, to its own right - is also giving you everything you've ever wanted. But not in the way you think. To the lesser mind, which is sort of like the collective ego of mankind - your individual ego is the ultimate and highest authority. Meaning that it will always--and I mean always--attempt to bend and weave this local reality, your whole universe, in a way that justifies, excuses, expands and propagates your ego. For example, in a fit of rage as you drive your car into another traffic jam - everyone is pissed off and angry. You might think to yourself: "All drivers are pissed off and angry and I am also pissed off and angry and all I get in life are these crappy traffic jams." In that very moment, because our three-dimensional universe considers your personal ego as god, it is basically telling you: "Yes, you're absolutely right! Everyone *is* angry and pissed off! Here's even more angry douchebags on the road to prove you right!" And gives you even more traffic jams, more people who are angry and pissed off all the time. Why? Because it's doing exactly what it was designed to do, and what you asked it to do - to serve your ego, and to make sure that it is always proven right. But, as you can see, it can only serve you from the perspective and level of your /current awareness/. And if your current awareness is that of your ego - you will remain forever chained to it. A slave to the lesser gods within you. So understand this simple truth: The universe does not listen to your wishes. It listens (and acts according) to your convictions. It could not care less about how you feel, it only cares that your ego is satisfied, even in self-destruction. Its purpose is to preserve and propagate the ego - but that is a longer conversation for another time. Just remember this: The universe does not listen to your wishes. It reacts to your convictions. There are major rules and laws and exceptions to this system as well - as with all universal systems. Do not dare to assume that you've "figured it out", do not even assume that I've "figured it out" - this is just the tip of a very dreadful iceberg. Be humble, respect the knowledge, live well.
