Long-lasting relationships, emotional investment and a degree of attachment or nostalgia towards people and places is a sign of increased consciousness. People who move on from others as if nothing ever happened between them are usually deeply asleep in the moment. Sentimentality is the gift of the awakened. And sentimentality awakens in the heart when self-reflection awakens in the mind. When old contacts or past relationships suddenly reach back out it's because their consciousness has shifted alongside the collective's - they're only now catching up to reflecting on the past, the same mutual histories you share that they chose to ignore before. And those same emotional turmoils you've already gone back and forth with yourself many times over, a long time ago, keep feeling out of place - it's all strange and peculiar timing. Of course, for the sensitive-minded, these collective shifts are subtly felt - you can almost expect when awareness is brought back to past sentiments - they are, after all, the memory portals through which we are connected with people from our past. Sometimes, when you're alone with a memory - there's a degree of coldness or emptiness that comes with it, but the moment those coinhabiting that memory with you spring awake and aware about it - it jolts a certain sense within us as well. When humans refuse to self-analyze and nurture and heal past sentiments, they lag behind in consciousness (and conscience) - and their return to us may seem more than timely to them, but for us, the person on the other side - it feels misplaced and rather bittersweet. Being a spiritual person, or one with growing consciousness, one must use these opportunities to practice forgiveness and closure. You've already outgrown the pain and disappointment - there's no use going back to it now. If you've ever felt the sting of regret, or embarrassment, about your unaware actions in the past - you are only now realizing that your awareness was absent in those moments. The magic of awakening, therefore, is in the idea of acceptance of each moment - no matter how bothersome or painful. There is great wisdom in facing the pain, holding faith in the advanced philosophy of ultimate meaning. That all things, even as they are occurring - serve to guide us to our greater good. The moment itself is transmuted through many timelines, through quantum barriers, when the magician assumes the perspective of the future - inheriting the vision of God. A memento is formed - a remnant of awareness. "I will think of this moment in the future." "I will remember thinking these thoughts - and I will meet myself." "This is just a moment in time, I am allowing it to pass." "My future self is viewing it with full awareness of its wisdom." ![[Pasted image 20260613115728.png]]
